What stood out to me at the end of October? The consistency across US agriculture markets.
- Grains: Short across the board.
- Including December corn and November soybeans
- as well as the three National Cash Indexes (Corn, Soybeans, SRW Wheat)
- Livestock: Short across the board.
- Driven by concerns over decreased US consumer demand for beef and pork.
- Cotton: Harvest and overall demand concerns.
Metals were also lower across the board, due to ideas the US Fed will raise rates over the coming year, strengthening the US dollar.
- Dr. Copper the economic indicator turned down at the end of September and stayed down during October.
